Basic Needs - Truck Driver Assistant
Job Description:
The Basic Needs program is seeking a part-time truck driver assistant. The Basic Needs program aims to provide emergent items, non emergent items and other resources to abused and impoverished children and their families in order to aid in the reunification or preservation of the family.
Primary Responsibilities:
Tagging and labeling all incoming/donated items for inventory, recording and documenting all outgoing items for families, keeping the storage area orderly, assisting truck driver in delivering items from the warehouse/storage unit to families, picking up donated items, providing a donation record to donors, operating small moving truck or passenger van, and following all safety rules while moving furniture.
Skills / Knowledge Required:
A valid driver's license, a clean driving record printout, LiveScan fingerprinting, insurance coverage, and the ability to move heavy furniture. P/T position: 10 hours per week, $9-10.50 per hour (DOE). Start immediately. Bilingual Spanish speakers encouraged to apply.
