In-Kind Donations Coordinator
Job Description:
The In-Kind Donations Coordinator is liaison between the Child Abuse Prevention Center's Basic Needs Program and donors in the Community.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain and expand relationships with Orange County faith-based organizations, civic organizations, and potential businesses in an effort to procure donated goods to fulfill basic needs requests.
- Responsible for securing all non-emergent basic needs requests items
- Tabulate and track all donations received by the Basic Needs
- Maintain strong relationships with assigned community donors through monthly telephone contacts, program update material, and thank you letters
- Assist in public education activities (speaking presentations to organizations and client outreach, etc.)
- Assist in making presentations to community organizations.
- Comply with Mandated Reporter requirements.
- Responsible for quarterly update of resource materials and contacts.
- Assist in quarterly valuation process.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide support to warehouse staff, as well as transport basic needs items, when necessary
- Participate in the planning of various events.
- Maintain updated statistics monthly.
- Attend all required meetings.
- Promote public relations in the community.
Supervision:
Supervisor will have a minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work or Human Service related field or equivalent experience.
Skills / Knowledge Required:
BA degree experience working with families is preferred. Approval from Contract Administrator at the Orange County Social Service Agency.
