Manager of Marketing
Job Description:
The Child Abuse Prevention Center (CAPC) is seeking a full-time Manager of Marketing to implement the agency’s various outreach programs. Working in partnership with the CAPC’s Marketing Advisory Group, he/she will be responsible for press releases, website updates, keeping eMedia current, newsletter publication, etc., and assuring that communication goals are met.
The Manager of Marketing will report to the Director of Community Development.
About The Position:
The Manager of Marketing will ensure that CAPC’s Community Development Team’s outreach efforts are supported with the appropriate planning, information and materials, whether an event, a speaker, press release, electronic media or guild. CAPC’s mission relies on over 10,000 touches to move our community toward engagement. The Manager of Marketing will maintain accurate and timely reporting processes and systems that capture outreach efforts progress. He/she will also be responsible for coordinating and implementing CAPC related public relations efforts to include:
- Planning & Coordination
- Media Relations (including advertising)
- Logistics and Execution
- Supervision and Event Development
- Collateral Material Production
- Web Site Development & Maintenance
Specifically, the Manager of Marketing will:
- Develop an annual public relations and marketing plan and budget
- Create the Center’s public relations campaigns and promotional opportunities
- Establish the Center’s branding guidelines
- Develop and distribute news releases for Center events, awards, grants and significant donations
- Provide contributed articles for business and trade publications
- Position the Center as “the expert service provider” for child abuse, teen pregnancy, and social service among relevant media
- Establish and maintain a monthly E-Newsletter with newsworthy content
- Maintain updated press kit materials
- Create Center brochures, flyers, promotional materials, videos, etc.
- Produce annual reports for Center programs
Qualifications:
The selected candidate will have an extensive background implementing marketing plans and tactics, capturing and telling stories, packaging communications, and engaging pro-bono/volunteer support in an encouraging manner. Strong organizational skills, experience in relationship management, and an ability to represent our cause are fundamental. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required. A Master’s in a related field is preferred. Five years of relevant experience is a minimum.
