In-Home Crisis Stabilization Program – Mental Health Worker


Job Description:

The Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center is seeking full time Mental Health workers for our In-Home Crisis Stabilization Program.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health rehabilitation services and resource development to clients and families in crisis.
  • Work in collaboration with the Mental Health therapists to conduct mental health assessments, crisis intervention and develop service plans.
  • Coordinate with collaborating agencies, such as HCA, schools, SSA, probation and hospital personnel.
  • Provide crisis response to clients on a 24 hour on-call basis when scheduled.
  • Comply with Mandated Reporter requirements
  • Complete Medi-Cal documentation and comply with HCA documentation standards

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attend all required meetings.
  • Participate in weekly individual and team supervision.

Skills / Knowledge Required:

Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field, two years experience is preferred. Knowledge of child abuse, domestic violence, parent education, and community resources preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess previous experience working with children and families, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well as a team member in an interdisciplinary environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills and availability to work on-call is required. Proficiency in Spanish/English is required for this position.
