Mental Health Supervisor


Job Description:

The Child Abuse Prevention Center is seeking a Program Supervisor for our In Home Mental Health Team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Program Administration

  • Facilitator in case reviews, staff training and staff meetings
  • Assign cases and track waiting lists
  • Assist in the development of new projects
  • Maintain and monitor existing prevention programs
  • Approve employee time sheets and monthly expense reports

Supervision and Management

  • Directly responsible for the supervision of assigned programs and program staff
  • Conduct individual supervision sessions with each employee
  • Review client files and monitor required paperwork
  • Responsible for personnel management, including hiring and termination under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Operations
  • Coordination of new and ongoing employee training especially regarding resources for clients and documentation
  • Write employee evaluations and conduct annual performance reviews
  • Review and supervise the filing of child abuse reports

Grant/Contract Monitoring

  • Maintain agency grants/contracts in accordance with individual requirements
  • Responsible for program accountability including implementation, and revision of annual program evaluations as needed
  • Attend Center meetings and conferences as necessary
Other
  • Liaison with community agencies, universities and all other collateral professionals
  • Represent agency in community relations events
  • Crisis counseling and conflict resolution with staff or clients as needed
  • Provision of resources and referrals
  • Provide periodic review for quality assurance purposes and to ensure non duplication of services

Skills / Knowledge Required:

  • MSW or Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or from a related field. Minimum of two years of supervisory experience
  • California Licensed for a minimum of 2 years with The Board of Behavioral Sciences(LMFT or LCSW)
  • Completion of the necessary requirements to supervise MFTI’s and ASW’s
