In-Home Crisis Stabilization Program – Mental Health Therapist


Job Description:

The Child Abuse Prevention Center is seeking a bilingual Spanish/English speaking MFT/MSW to provide in-home therapy throughout Orange County for our In Home Crisis Stabilization Team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health therapy, crisis intervention and crisis stabilization to clients and families identified by HCA as high risk
  • Team with a BA level Mental Health Worker to conduct mental health assessments, needs assessments, and develop service plans.
  • Coordinate with collaborating agencies, such as HCA, schools, SSA, probation and hospital personnel.
  • Provide crisis response to clients on a 24 hour on-call basis when scheduled
  • Complete Medi-Cal documentation and comply with HCA documentation standards

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attend all required meetings.
  • Participate in weekly case reviews and team meetings.
  • Participate in weekly BBS individual and group supervision

Skills / Knowledge Required:

Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field. Proficiency in Spanish/English (speak, read, write). Registration with BBS required; supervision toward license will be provided.

The ideal candidate will possess previous mental health counseling experience working with children and families, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well as a team member in an interdisciplinary environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills and availability to work on-call is required. Proficiency in Spanish/English is required for this position.
