Casework Specialist – SPARK
Job Description:
The Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center is seeking a full time English/Spanish Casework Specialist – SPARK program. The Casework Specialist provides in-home parent education and community linkage.
Job Summary:
The Bilingual Casework Specialist provides direct services to clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide in-home parenting education, home safety evaluation and case management services to families.
- Conduct initial needs assessment.
- Establish rapport and implement a service plan with the client.
- Provide on-going resources and referrals for clients as appropriate.
- Coordinate with all agencies involved in the case.
- Conduct client outreach for referrals.
- Provide on going observation for elements of abuse within assigned family.
- Maintain client files as required and complete required documentation.
- Manage cases in accordance with grant requirements.
- Comply with Mandated Reporter requirements
- Provide resource and referral services in compliance with Targeted Case Management protoco
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist in public education activities (speaking presentation to organizations and client outreach, etc.)
- Maintain updated statistics monthly.
- Attend all required meetings.
- Promote public relations in the community
Skills / Knowledge Required:
- BA degree in Human Services related field required
- Two years experience is preferred.
- Meet Targeted Case Manager qualifications.
- Bilingual: Spanish/ English OR Vietnamese/ English
