Bilingual (Spanish) - Program Manager/ Facilitator (FGDM)
Job Description:
The Child Abuse Prevention Center is looking for a program manager/facilitator for our Family Group Decision Making program. A facilitator/coordinator for the Family Group Decision Making program serves to assist families involved in the child welfare system by coordinating family meetings with the county social workers, families, and their identified support network that could be extended family members, teachers, counselors, friends, clergy. Applicants should be bilingual Spanish/English.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Respond immediately to newly assigned clients to assure agency connection.
- Provide in-home visitation with the purpose of gathering intake information.
- Coordinate with identified meeting participants to discuss meeting format and gather strengths and concerns of the family. Coordination also includes setting up arrangements for meeting location, date, child care and transportation if needed, and food preparation.
- Facilitate family meeting by ensuring that the identified focus of the meeting given by the county social worker and client is addressed and a safe environment is provided to address the concerns.
- Write up a meeting summary and mail copies for each meeting participant within 3 days of the family meeting.
- Transport families to the Family Meeting as needed.
- Assist in public education activities and promotion of agency programs (speaking presentation to organizations, preparation of news releases, etc.).
- Provide crisis counseling to clients on a 24 hour on call basis when scheduled.
- Maintain cases in accordance with grant requirements.
- Comply with Mandated Reported requirements.
- Complete monthly statistical reporting.
- Participate in planning of various events as needed.
- Attend all required meetings and trainings.
- Participate in weekly individual and team supervision
