Bright Futures Ball

Mothers throughout Orange County were honored on May 10th at this year’s Island Dreams Bright Futures Ball, a fundraiser for the Child Abuse Prevention Center. This year’s island themed event created a relaxed atmosphere at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel and Spa as guests were encouraged to attend in “resort attire” and leave the formal wear at home. Over 320 guests attended, raising over $125,000 for the Prevention Center’s parenting education, prevention and mental health programs.

Charity Golf Classic

Orange County’s top business and community leaders “Teed off” against child abuse at the Child Abuse Prevention Center’s Charity Golf Classic on Monday, August 18, at the El Niguel Country Club in Laguna Niguel.  This 7th annual tournament, presented by Wells Fargo Bank, made great strides in the fight against child abuse by raising over $70,000 for the Prevention Center’s in-home child abuse prevention programs.

Jessica Erstad "Not So Serious" Women's Golf Outing

Golf and giving reigned at this year’s Jessica Erstad “Not So Serious” Women’s Golf Outing on June 10, 2008. For the past five years, the women of Orange County have joined together at this event in support of the Child Abuse Prevention Center. Hosted at the beautiful Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda, this year’s tournament raised over $66,000 for the Prevention Center’s parent education, prevention and mental health programs.

"Athletes & Aces" Casino Night

Camaraderie and generosity prevailed at this year’s “Athletes and Aces” Casino Night, hosted by the Wives of Professional Athletes, a support group of the Child Abuse Prevention Center. The Island Hotel’s Palm Garden provided a beautiful backdrop on January 12, 2008 as this unique event attracted over 300 guests and raised over $50,000 for the Child Abuse Prevention Center.
