Black Gold Golf Club
On July 15th, the women of Orange County united against child abuse at the Jessica Erstad “Not So Serious” Women’s Golf Outing, raising more than $50,000 for the Child Abuse Prevention Center’s in-home parenting and mental health programs. For the first time ever, Darin Erstad, former Angel and current Houston Astro, attended the event and welcomed this year’s participants.
This was not your average golf tournament. The nine-hole event appealed to avid golfers as well as those who are new to the game. To start, the ladies enjoyed an amazing lunch courtesy of The Winery Restaurant located at the District and cocktails hosted by Three Olives Vodka. On the course they enjoyed fun and games themed after famous movies, such as Happy Gilmore (putt with a hockey stick) and Seven (play the entire hole with a seven iron). Sponsored by Angels Baseball, Robertson Griege and Thole, Legacy Sports, the Ladies of Law Enforcement, OC Metro, and Genske, Mulder & Co., a wonderful time was had by all.
