Edwards Lifesciences Volunteer Recognition
On August 3rd, 2011 twenty-five volunteers from the Public Affairs Department at Edwards Lifesciences participated in a Team Building Project. These incredible and dedicated volunteers worked tirelessly to create a more welcoming and family focused Monitored and Supervised Visitation Area here at the Child Abuse Prevention Center.
The Monitored and Supervised Visitation Program provides a safe and supervised environment here at the Prevention Center for children to meet with non-custodial parents and family. Our goal here at the Center is to ultimately reunite children with their parents.
The Edwards Lifesciences volunteers not only re-painted the supervision rooms, but they assembled toys and furniture, sanded and painted wooden planes donated by Commissioner Richard Vogl of the Orange County Superior Court and decorated wall hangings. However, the giving did not stop there! The Edwards Lifesciences Fund also contributed $1,000 in a grant towards purchasing supplies.

Amanda Fowler, Senior Manager of Global Communications, with Bruce Garren, Corporate Vice President, Public Affairs from Edwards Lifesciences, Chris Palmer from Rep.John Campbelll's Office and Exec. Dir. of the Prevention Center, Scott Trotter
Others in the community also saw the value of their work. Chris Palmer, Deputy District Director, from Rep. John Campbell’s office presented the group with a certificate of appreciation. The group was flattered to receive such a tremendous recognition.
The Edwards Lifesciences volunteers provided an amazing contribution of both time and valuable work that the families who visit our supervision rooms will surely appreciate.
Thank you to Edwards Lifesciences for their generosity!
