In honor of April Child Abuse Awareness Month, the Prevention Center will recognize the volunteer efforts of a different community leader each week. Please read on to learn about how members of our community are contributing to the Prevention Center to break the generational cycle of abuse!
Bill Barrington – Board Member
Board Member and Blue Ribbon Society Chair, Bill Barrington
This month, the Prevention Center recognizes the incredible volunteer contributions of Board Member and Blue Ribbon Society Chair, Bill Barrington. Bill has been a supporter of the Prevention Center for over 25 years, serving on the Board of Directors twice for a total of 6 years and serving as President of the Board for a 2-year term. Bill has also been instrumental in creating The Blue Ribbon Society, focusing on spreading awareness and recruiting membership. Through his leadership and inspiration, Bill, along with Co-Chair Jan Jewell, have committed to successfully launching the society in it’s first year. Thank you Bill for your inspiration and leadership!

We recognize the volunteer contributions of Dianna Landucci of Target. Dianna has been a constant supporter of our work for over three years. Dianna has volunteered and recruited Target volunteers to participate in all our annual fundraising events. We have seen her out on the golf course during our Golf Classic and “Not So Serious” Golf Outing, raising funds during our Bright Futures Celebration, stuffing backpacks full of school supplies and organizing donations in our Basic Needs Warehouse. Whenever the Center needs volunteer assistance, Dianna is always there to support us. She also single handedly organized a District wide adoption during our Families Helping Families event, where almost 20 families were adopted by Target employees in both 2010 and 2011.
We cannot thank Dianna enough for all her amazing work and passion for our cause!
