PROJECT PROMISE
"MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIFE OF A NEWBORN"
Something exciting is in the air…Project Promise. Each year we receive notification through partnerships with local hospitals that over 300 babies are born into potentially abusive and difficult situations. We need your help to protect these newborns! To do so, we are launching an exciting new program, Project Promise.
Project Promise provides an opportunity for individuals in the community who care about children to support newborn babies and their families on a monthly basis. For just $25 per month - or $300 per year - a Project Promise participant will help to provide basic needs for a precious newborn, such as infant clothes, diapers, formula, medical check-ups or a visit from a Prevention Center social worker. Through Project Promise, every month, for an entire year, you will make a great difference in the life of a newborn. Please consider joining the Project Promise family of supporters!
Sponsors will receive a small token of welcome and appreciation for joining the Project Promise family. Besides the personal satisfaction of knowing that they are making a difference in the life of a child, each sponsor will receive our CAPC Newsletter and a special quarterly Project Promise update. As members of Project Promise, sponsors will be invited to an annual private “Thank You” event, where they will have the opportunity to meet with families served in the program and hear first hand how Project Promise is turning lives around

Planned Giving
The Child Abuse Prevention Center is grateful for the generosity of our donors in funding the fight against child abuse. A deferred or planned gift is a wonderful way to leave a legacy to the Center. A planned gift can provide important philanthropic and financial benefits to the donor and beneficiaries. All donors who notify us of their intentions to include the Center in their estate plans become a member of our Legacy Society. The Legacy Society was established to honor and recognize donors who have dedicated themselves and their estates to prevent child abuse. Of course, if you prefer that your gift remains anonymous, we will honor your wishes.
- Bequests
A will is the easiest and most effective means to ensure that you provide for your family and that your assets are distributed as you wish.
- Charitable Remainder Trusts
This gift places an amount of principal in an irrevocable trust, with interest payments to the donor throughout his/her lifetime. At the end of the terms of the trust, the Child Abuse Prevention Center can use these funds. The potential savings in taxes and the lifetime income generated make this a very attractive option in making a gift that truly impacts the Center's efforts to prevent child abuse and neglect.
- Gift Annuity
This gift allows the donor to transfer an asset (cash, stock, real estate) in return for lifetime income from the Child Abuse Prevention Center. There are a variety of financial benefits for the donor, including savings on estate, income and capital gains taxes, and a tax-relieved lifetime income.
- Life Insurance
You can name the Child Abuse Prevention Center as a beneficiary or partial beneficiary of a life insurance policy. You may also consider purchasing a new life insurance policy and donating it to the Child Abuse Prevention Center, so the Center becomes both the owner and beneficiary of the policy.

Basic Needs
Donate your gently used, kid-friendly items! We are looking for donations that are in good condition so they can be placed in homes with children. All items donated will directly benefit a child in need.
