Family Mentor Internship Opportunities
Interns/volunteers are trained in the comprehensive parenting curriculum used by the Prevention Center in its hallmark in-home education and support programs. After completing training and screening, interns are matched with specific families and make weekly home visits (2 hours per week) for a period of 12 weeks. Interns must be enrolled in an approved college program or be at least 21 years of age.

"Reach For The Stars" - Young Mother Mentoring Day
A special day of inspiration! Three times a year, professional women participate in a one-day seminar where they are paired with young mothers to help them set career and personal goals. Even more importantly, the women mentors empower and motivate these young mothers by offering their insight and advice, as well as sharing their own stories. Reach for the Stars was created to give young mothers a vision of what is possible for themselves and their children, and to encourage them to reach beyond their current situations and improve their lives.

Adopt-A-Family
Religious congregations, clubs and businesses are paired with a caseworker at the Prevention Center to provide cribs, clothing, diapers and other much-needed material goods to the struggling families who participate in the Prevention Center's programs.

Adopt-A-Family - Holiday Gift-Giving Program

Bright Futures Ball Committee
Volunteers assist in securing auction items and selling program advertisement space and tickets for the Center's annual Bright Futures Ball.

Charity Golf Classic Committee

Office Support
The Prevention Center is always looking for volunteers to assist in the office for a few hours or more. This is a great way for students to fulfill philanthropy requirements or for anyone to help when they have an afternoon free.
