The Child Abuse Prevention Center serves a wide range of families, many of whom are struggling to meet the most basic needs of their children. Contributions of household items from individuals, corporations and foundations are needed and greatly appreciated.

The top three most requested items:

• Diapers - all sizes needed, with a particular need for newborns
• Cribs and Mattresses - gently used or new
• Car Seats - MUST BE BRAND NEW due to safety and recall issues

The following items are frequently requested:

• High Chairs
• Exersaucers
• Safety Gates
• Incentives for teenagers
• Safety Supplies - door knob locks, cupboard locks, electrical outlet covers
• Gift Certificates - Target, Wal-Mart, grocery stores
• Bedding - Blankets, sheets, pillows
• Orange County Bus Passes
• School Supplies
• Toiletry Items
• Household Cleaning Products
• Birthday Supplies - Cake mix, frosting, birthday gifts
• Baby Wipes
• Baby Clothing - 0 to 18 months only, gently used or new *
  * Due to space restrictions, the Center only accepts baby clothes.
• Furniture and larger appliances are accepted by special arrangement.

Items not accepted:

• Perishable Food
• Used Car Seats
• Clothes for children over 18 months of age
