The Priority Center accepts donations through automatic payroll deduction, monthly giving online through our safe and secure giving platform, gifts of stock, gifts of vehicles, bequests, honorariums, beneficiary event donations, charitable remainder trust donations, donor advised fund gifts, wire transfer/ach gifts,  annual gifts, and major gift support.  We are happy to meet with anyone to explain the many options to support the lifechanging work of the Priority Center.

The Priority Center tracks and measures details of every visit with every client from the beginning assessment to the close of a case. An evaluation is done at the end of each case closed by our data evaluation team. The clients are also given a survey about their experience in our programs to garner feedback within each program.

90% of all funds that come into The Priority Center go directly to programs, while only 10% goes to overhead and fundraising.

Yes. The Priority Center was previous know as the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center.  It was founded by the Exchange Club of Newport Harbor. A group of dedicated volunteers who were committed to make a difference in the lives of atrisk kids in 1983.  They provided parenting education classes.  Over time they hired an executive director and the organization raised private dollars and grew to now a $10,000,000 organization with 123 staff and 6 programs currently.

The Priority Center has a hands on Board of Directors with Officers and 20 members. The are ambassadors of the organization and are responsible for the financial health of the organization. Please see a list of all our directors here.

The Priority Center needs to raise funds to cover the costs of operations of our programs over $1.5 million annually. 90% of a dollar goes towards programs the remainder covers our costs to operate. Please consider making a donation monthly to support the lifechanging work of the Priority Center.

Priority Center survives on utilization of volunteerism. We were founded by volunteers: the Exchange Club of Newport Harbor 42 years ago. Volunteering opportunities are listed on our site. There are many opportunities. We have many links on the site that can connect you to our activities that an individual, family, company or team building activity as well as church can provide.

The Priority Center accepts gently used items for babies, such as cribs, car seats, strollers, baby clothes, play mats, baby toys, and children’s clothing. Please note, if there are stains on clothing or items are broken, we won’t accept them. You can donate them to the Basic Needs Warehouse or our corporate office.

Programs accept referrals only through the county, except Safe Families for Young Children. Anyone can refer individuals or children to this program. You can reach out to that program directly using the link on this site, and it will go directly to the program director and supervisor as a referral. They will respond within 48 hours.
