Parenting Education

School Readiness: Assists families with children ages 0-8 in reducing barriers to medical care and early childhood mental health services in order to provide them with the healthiest start in life. Infant Home Visitation Program: 6 month parenting program that serves families and children from birth to 17 months. We promote appropriate newborn care, improving bonding and attachment, we support mothers with breastfeeding and nutritious feeding practices, provide developmental screenings, and detail education on infant development. Toddler Home Visitation Program: 3 to 6 month program serving families with children aged 18 months-5 years of age. Educate parents to raise healthy children by: promoting positive relationships between parents and children, creating positive behavior with hands-on practice sessions, promoting effective, age appropriate communication strategies via modeling, and providing positive, consistent and decisive ways to manage problem behavior. Well Program: Provides assessment and services to promote emotional well-being and educate on mental health issues.  We can provide short-term counseling, referrals to support services and county resources, educational and skills building presentations, and more.  Call toll free: 1-888-955-6570 or visit the Well website at well.brightfutures4kids.org.
