Words from Our Families

Mom and Kids

My caseworker taught me about everything: child development, child safety, child abuse, oral health, insurance, immunizations, nutrition, feeding, positive stimulation—a lot of information. I am grateful for programs like these. May God keep blessing the work you do, and may the agency know what valuable work the caseworkers do for all of us.

“I am extremely grateful for the program. As a first time single mother, I found these visits educational. All my questions were answered, which in turn, made me more confident in performing my parental duties.

“My caseworker connected me with resources I needed for my baby and also got me counseling services. I was going through a difficult time, and now thanks to all the help she gave me, I am now the mom my child deserves. I was depressed and didn’t think much of myself, but thanks to my caseworker’s advice and dedication to her work, she helped me switch my life around completely, and for that, I am eternally grateful.”

I used to scream so much and felt angry all the time, but now I can say that I have learned to control my temper and put myself out of situations that could possibly harm my children. My children are all I have and my caseworker helped me be a better mom. Thank you so much.”

“Jamie came to my house once a week always with a smile on her face and willing to listen and help me with every situation I had. She provided so much information on child development and also how to maintain and enforce rules in my house. Thanks to that I breathe and be more at ease now. Aside from all the parent support she provided she would also provide me with diapers and other essentials I needed at home, like food. Jamie is a professional and a passionate individual who really cares for her families. Thank you so much. May God bless you.”

“My caseworker Sara was always very sweet to me and was extremely helpful. As a first time mom, I had a lot of questions and concerns and Sara made me feel at ease and more comfortable with my newborn. Since I am a young mom, I did not feel judged or embarrassed with her, in fact, she made me feel good about myself and was extremely supportive. She taught me about child development and how to keep my baby’s mouth healthy and clean. Thanks to Sara’s attention and devotion to her work, I feel like I am better mom now than I was when I first had my baby. Thank you for everything.”

“Melissa has been coming to see my baby and I since he was born. As a new mom I had a lot of questions and doubts and I wasn’t too comfortable with the care of an infant. Thanks to Melissa, I can now care for my baby comfortably and be there for him when he needs me. I was taught about child development, oral health, nutrition, and bonding activities I can do with my baby so that he can grow positively. I am extremely thankful for programs like this that reach out to communities, and for people like Melissa who reach out to homes and impact and change lives. Thank you so much.”
