Words From Our Youth: Teen Voices, Teen Choices Program

We received the notes below from high school students and teachers who took part in our Teen GirlsTeen Voices, Teen Choices panels and seminars at various locations throughout Orange County.

The goal of the program is to educate youth on teen dating violence and pregnancy prevention, with the ultimate goal of breaking the generational cycle of abuse.

“I want to thank you for coming in to make us see the different kinds of violence. Also, that I learned so much and can help me in my relationship. I really liked your presentation, especially because it was specific about violence. From this, I learned the signs to know of abuse or recognize it. It will help me to help others if there is a type of abuse, so once again thank you Meg for your time and making me see how relationships should be and that no one should be abusing you.”

“Thank you for coming to our classes and teaching us the different type of relationship abuse. It was a real eye opener because I never realized all the different types of abuse. Now when I walk around, I see and can pick out all the different abuse. Thank you again because it was seriously an eye opener!”
